My Books is a website intended to keep a list of all the books one has read. This version is a PHP/MySQL project designed for only a single user. As one can imagine the actual data entry is prohibitively time consuming. There are websites that will provide all the data from an ISBN number, but thus far I have not gotten around the cross-site-scripting issues. If that is solved, then ISBNs could be read into the interface with a bar code reader. This version is not fully functional.
Loc8r is an app that is familiar to anyone who's read Getting MEAN by Simon Holmes. This book teaches the MEAN stack, that is: MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, and Node.js. This version is completed through Chapter 7. As Chapter 8 introduces AngularJS perhaps we should say that this version of Loc8r uses the MEN stack. In this case the application is hosted on Microsoft Azure as a Web App, which is why it is slow to wake up. The database is deployed at MongoLab.
While one can certainly just cut and past Simon's code, I put a great deal more work than that into this application.
